Plain language about what this site does and does not collect.
Current state
What this site collects
- • Site interaction analytics: this site records its own first-party interaction events — which page you were on, which button or link you used, the edition involved, a coarse device size, an anonymous session identifier, and any campaign or referring-domain information present in the link you arrived through. No advertising networks, no cross-site tracking, and no browser fingerprinting.
- • Contact form: your name, email address, and message are stored so the author can answer you.
- • Signed-copy requests: the name, email address, shipping address, and notes you submit, used to reply and arrange the copy.
- • Direct book orders: when direct ordering is accepting payment, an order record holds your name, email address, shipping address, the edition and quantity, and the order amounts, so the book can be ordered, shipped, and supported.
- • Google Analytics: this site uses Google Analytics 4, which receives the same non-identifying interaction events described above, with IP anonymisation enabled. Names, email addresses, shipping addresses, order notes, and payment identifiers are never sent there.
Payments
How payment is handled
Direct orders are paid through Stripe’s hosted checkout. Stripe acts as the payment processor and handles your card details on its own systems. Card numbers are never received by, transmitted through, or stored on this website. This site receives only the confirmation of payment, the amounts, and the contact and shipping details you gave at checkout.
Order information may also be used for accounting and other legal obligations that apply to a sale.
Your choices
Sharing, retention, and requests
- • Personal information is never sold or rented.
- • Information is shared only with the providers that make the site work — hosting, database, email delivery, and the payment processor — acting on the author’s instructions.
- • You may request a copy, a correction, or deletion of your information through the contact page. Records connected to a completed order may need to be retained where accounting or legal requirements apply.
- • Analytics events hold no names, email addresses, postal addresses, or payment identifiers.
